More than 5,000 people are expected at Emmerling Park on June 14 when Indiana Township celebrates its annual Youth Day.

With balloon art and jugglers, home run derbies and food, Youth Day has become a large-scale social gathering, according to township Manager Dan Anderson. What started out as a neighborly picnic at Rural Ridge Parklet has grown to be the biggest event in the township, the Pittsburgh Trib reports.
