Shirley M. (McQuaid) Semple
of Marlborough, Conn.
Shirley M. (McQuaid) Semple, 86. of Marlborough, Conn., formerly of Aspinwall and Phoenix, Ariz, died Sunday, March 23, 2008. She was born September 29, 1921 in Wildwood, PA and was the daughter of the late George and Daisy (Hyde) McQuaid.
Mrs. Semple had been employed by the Sinclaire and Valentine Printing Co., Pittsburgh and the Valley National Bank, Phoenix, Ariz., before retiring.
She was a member of the Marlborough Congregational Church, Marlborough Senior Citizens and the Dorcus Society of the Marlborough Congregational Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Francis of Marlborough, Conn., a stepson Ted Semple and his wife Kelly of N.H.; two grandsons, Geno Francis and his girlfriend Jessica Hicks and Tim Francis, all of Marlborough, Conn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Eugene L. Rapino and Donald Semple, and her brothers, Edwin, Wallace, Charles, Frank Howard and Robert McQuaid.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 17, at 2 p.m. at the Weddell-Ajak Funeral Home, 100 Center Avenue, Aspinwall. Burial was private in Mount Royal Cemetery, Shaler Twp.
Frances Haus

Frances D. Haus, 88, of Oakmont died April 30, 2008, at The Willows Presbyterian SeniorCare, Oakmont.
Born Aug. 4, 1919, in Logans Ferry, she was the daughter of William and Catherine Costello Dankmyer.
Mrs. Haus was an executive secretary for 13 years for the superintendent of Fox Chapel Area Schools.
She was a member of Memorial Park Presbyterian Church in Allison Park and enjoyed music, concerts and theater.
Surviving are her children, William J. Haus of Oakmont and Valerie Haus of Aspinwall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Helen Snyder, Esther Yochem, Olive Brombach, Dorothy Hess and Ruth Wood.
Friends and family were received at Burket-Truby Funeral Home Cremation and Alternative Services Inc. Interment was at Allegheny County Memorial Park, Allison Park.
